CONFIRMED: Kuczynski Signs Contract With Aegir
After successfully trialing with KF Aegir in Iceland’s second division, Daniel Kuczynski has signed a professional contract with the Thorlokshofn based club. The Polish-Canadian striker will report for duty with his new home in April to see out the 2016 season.

Another SoccerViza client signed a professional contract this week after clearing paperwork with KF Aegir.

Kuczynski, 22, a striker from Cal State Stanislaus, finished his senior year in the fall as the CCAA conference’s points leader, with 11 goals and 6 assists, and finished his collegiate career with 24 goals and 9 assists.

“I'm feeling very optimistic about this opportunity with Aegir,” Daniel told SoccerViza.

“I know if I perform well this season, many doors might open up for my future. I love the chemistry within the team and the style we play with, so I’m excited to get in there and get the season started. It's a great platform for me to get my career started, and I'm really excited about the future and where it leads.”

Kuczynski impressed at SoccerViza’s combine in San Diego, and earned multiple trial offers in the winter transfer window, before choosing Aegir and eventually resulting in the contract.

“Today’s a special day for Daniel,” SoccerViza Player Relations Director Christopher McCollum commented.

“Signing his first professional contract is significant in so many ways, but as so many veterans say, ‘now the hard part begins.’ I have every bit of confidence that he has what it takes though to not only succeed, but be a top player in the league. I’m looking forward to working with him for many seasons to come.”

In joining KF Aegir, Daniel will be instrumental in getting the club on track for promotion to the first division. He will take a pivotal role in the team’s offense, looking to pick up where SoccerViza client Will Daniels left off last season as the team MVP and leading scorer.

Daniel reports for duty to Iceland next month to finish preseason with the club before kicking off against Sindri on May 7.
