Olimpia Satu Mare and SoccerViza today confirmed that Assistant Coach Victor will be stepping down from his roles with both clubs. The news comes as a significant blow to both organizations, with Victor being a coach and man liked by many.
A serious calf injury sustained during a recent training session has unfortunately forced Victor to relinquish his coaching duties. This latest setback follows a previous knee injury suffered last year, leaving him unable to continue his active involvement with the clubs.
Victor was widely regarded as a key member of the coaching staff at Olimpia, proving invaluable to Head Coach Joe. His influence extended beyond the first team; however, his dedication to player development at SoccerViza was particularly noteworthy. Known for his meticulous approach and his ability to connect with young players on a one-to-one basis, Victor will be sorely missed.
“This is a real loss for us,” said Ceciilia Lihv, Olimpia Satu Mare President
“Victor brought a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for the game to his role. He was more than just an assistant; he was a mentor to many of our players.”
SoccerViza Director, Joe Funicello echoed these sentiments, stating: “Victor’s contribution to the development of young footballers at SoccerViza has been immense. He had a unique ability to inspire and motivate, and he will be deeply missed by all those who had the pleasure of working with him.”
Olimpia Satu Mare and SoccerViza wish Victor a swift and full recovery.
